Week 1
Well, the first week in the MTC is done, and it has been an experience for sure. It has been fun and exciting, but hard work as well.
To start, I'll talk about the area.
We have this very pretty facility in the middle of Mexico City.... The MTC is where I'll stay at for the next 6 weeks learning Spanish, and all skills needed for my 2 years in Honduras.

The MTC is great, plenty of volleyball and basketball courts, good food, and clean water.... However the city is Insane! Weekends are just 24 hour parties.... This city loves to party....
We originally thought they were gunshots, till we figured out that the local love fireworks. Every morning at six someone shoots off like 20 fireworks... sometimes they shoot them off during the day... then tons at night.... This city never sleeps...
We have 30 minuets to an hour of personal gospel study each morning
We spend most of the time doing language study, but its incorporated with gospel lessons so it usually covers both. The lessons are not really anything new, just how to teach them in spanish....
We have had an investigator, since our second day... we have had to teach him in spanish only almost every night.... The first night was obviously a train wreck, however since then, we have gotten really good at giving lessons. The only frustrating thing is when you get really deep into an answer and run out of Spanish vocabulary to use.
The weather is amazing though.... I love waking up in the morning and seeing my breath... just nice and chilly in the morning, and cool for the rest of the day.
I'm having a great time so far!
We were able to visit the temple... its under construction so we only went through the visitors center, but we also got to see a lot of cool stuff, and less cool stuff, in Mexico City.
